IAW Carbon – MP Style Front Lip – BMW M5 G90/99 – Glossy Prepreg Carbon Fiber

The IAW Carbon MP Style Front Lip is a dry carbon fiber front lip spoiler for the BMW G90 M5 sedan and G99 M5 Touring. It follows the factory lower fascia closely, extending the front end just enough to lower the visual stance and add motorsport intent without changing the character of the car. It is the more understated of our two G90 front lip profiles, and it pairs cleanly with our matching carbon side skirts, diffuser, and mirror caps for a cohesive build.

Dry Carbon Fiber Construction

Every lip is produced from genuine pre-preg dry carbon fiber and cured under controlled heat and pressure. Compared to wet-layup carbon or carbon overlays, pre-preg construction delivers a tighter and more consistent twill weave, a superior strength-to-weight ratio, and a part that holds its shape under heat and daily road use. The surface is sealed in a gloss clear coat so the weave stays deep and dark rather than yellowing or hazing within the first couple of seasons, which is a common failure point on lower-cost imported carbon fiber body kits.

Installation

The lip is molded around the factory G90 bumper geometry and locates on existing mounting points. No cutting, drilling, or permanent modification to the factory bumper is required, and the piece can be removed later if the vehicle is returned to stock.

Please note: high-strength 3M automotive-grade double-sided tape is required for installation and is sold separately.

Installation is straightforward for an experienced installer, but carbon fiber is unforgiving of a rushed job. We recommend professional installation, and we always recommend test-fitting the panel and cleaning the mounting surface thoroughly before removing any adhesive backing.

Care and Maintenance

Hand wash only, and avoid abrasive polishes and high-pressure spray directly at the panel edges. For long-term protection, a ceramic coating or paint protection film over the clear coat will further guard against UV exposure and road debris.

Will this front lip fit the G99 M5 Touring?
Yes. The G90 sedan and G99 Touring share the same front bumper, so this lip fits both.

Is mounting tape included?
No. This lip mounts to factory locations, and the 3M automotive-grade double-sided tape required to complete the installation is sold separately.

How is this different from the Competition Style front lip?
The MP Style is the subtler profile, hugging the factory fascia for a clean OEM-plus look. The Competition Style extends further forward and wraps into the outer bumper corners for a more aggressive, track-inspired stance.

Is this real carbon fiber or a carbon overlay?
This is genuine pre-preg dry carbon fiber throughout, not a plastic part with a carbon overlay or hydro-dipped finish.

Will the carbon fiber turn yellow over time?
The clear coat is there specifically to prevent that. Wet-layup carbon and overlays commonly yellow within one to two years; pre-preg carbon under a proper clear coat does not.
