IAW Carbon – Carbon Fiber Mirror Caps – BMW M5 G90/99 – Glossy Prepreg Carbon Fiber

The IAW Carbon Mirror Caps are dry carbon fiber replacement housings for the BMW G90 M5 sedan and G99 M5 Touring. Mirror caps are the highest-impact carbon upgrade per dollar on the car: they sit at eye level, they read from every angle, and they tie the rest of a carbon build together. These are full replacement caps rather than stick-on covers, so the surface, gaps, and edges look factory.

Dry Carbon Fiber Construction

Every piece is produced from genuine pre-preg dry carbon fiber and cured under controlled heat and pressure. Compared to wet-layup carbon or carbon overlays, pre-preg construction delivers a tighter and more consistent twill weave, a superior strength-to-weight ratio, and a part that holds its shape under heat and daily road use. The surface is sealed in a UV-stable gloss clear coat so the weave stays deep and dark rather than yellowing or hazing within the first couple of seasons, which is a common failure point on lower-cost imported carbon fiber body kits.

Installation

These are replacement caps, not adhesive covers. The factory caps unclip from the mirror housing and the carbon caps clip on in their place using the original retention points. No cutting, drilling, or permanent modification is required, and the factory caps can be refitted at any time.

The job is well within reach of a careful owner, but the factory clips can be brittle in cold weather. If you are not confident releasing them, we recommend professional installation.

Care and Maintenance

Hand wash only, and avoid abrasive polishes and high-pressure spray directly at the panel edges. For long-term protection, a ceramic coating or paint protection film over the clear coat will further guard against UV exposure and road debris.
