IAW Carbon – Competition Style Front Lip – BMW M5 G90/99 – Glossy Prepreg Carbon Fiber

The IAW Carbon Competition Style Front Lip is a dry carbon fiber front lip spoiler for the BMW G90 M5 sedan and G99 M5 Touring. It extends the factory lower fascia forward and wraps into the outer bumper corners, visually lowering the nose and giving the car the planted, track-inspired stance the Competition look is known for. It reads aggressive without fighting the lines BMW designed, and it pairs cleanly with our matching carbon side skirts, diffuser, and mirror caps for a cohesive build.

Dry Carbon Fiber Construction

Every lip is produced from genuine pre-preg dry carbon fiber and cured under controlled heat and pressure. Compared to wet-layup carbon or carbon overlays, pre-preg construction delivers a tighter and more consistent 2x2 twill weave, a superior strength-to-weight ratio, and a part that holds its shape under heat and daily road use. The surface is sealed in a UV-stable gloss clear coat so the weave stays deep and dark rather than yellowing or hazing within the first couple of seasons, which is a common failure point on lower-cost imported carbon fiber body kits.

Installation

This front splitter ships as a three-piece assembly: a full-width centre section and a pair of outer winglets. Each piece is molded around the factory G90 bumper geometry and locates on existing mounting points, securing with the supplied hardware and commercial-grade 3M automotive tape. No cutting, drilling, or permanent modification to the factory bumper is required, and the lip can be removed later if the vehicle is returned to stock.

Installation is straightforward for an experienced installer, but carbon fiber is unforgiving of a rushed job. We recommend professional installation, and we always recommend test-fitting each panel and cleaning the mounting surface thoroughly before removing any adhesive backing.
