BMW M Style G2X M340 M440 G4X M240 Quad 4″ Exhaust Tips – Clamp On/Large Version

Introducing the Infinite Autowerks BMW G2X Quad tips! The IAW G series quad tips will add the extra aggression you have been wanting to the rear end of your G series BMW. These exhaust tips will clamp onto the existing factory muffler which ensures perfect fitment. The clamp style gives you the ability to change how much of the exhaust tip extends past the diffuser. The exhaust tips are 101mm (4") in diameter per tip and are easy to install as it does not require you to tighten tedious set screws.

Professional installation recommended:

• Remove factory rhombus exhaust tip by removing the two 10mm bolts.
• Push up the metal heat shield on each side by hand
• Grind down the inner portion of the diffuser bracket (email if photo needed) -  this is not a necessary step but helps provide more room for large tips
• Slide the factory exhaust tip towards the front of the car and then angle down to remove.
• Slide the IAW quad exhaust tip over the factory muffler pipe; set desired depth and angle of tip.
• Tighten the 2 provided exhaust clamps with a 8mm socket; do not use impact wrench on clamps.
• You may have to adjust the way the tip sits on the exit pipe to get the correct alignment as you tighten clamps
• Recommended to add spacers on exhaust hangers to drop muffler 5mm to allow more room for exhaust tips
• DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN HOSE CLAMPS

**MPE Fitment Notes**

The IAW quad tips are meant to reveal and extend past the bumper diffuser. They will not be flush with the diffuser. The end result is to see the "M" logo and a bit of the carbon. With that being said, although the MPE quad version does fit the MPE, the MPE outlets are about .5" longer than stock G20 exhaust outlet. The MPE in unmodified form will push the quad tips further out than the stock muffler. When you see a picture you like, please understand the vehicle may have stock exhaust which allows our tip solution to be pushed further in. On the stock muffler, the tips can be tucked in much more. We can not make the inlet depth any greater to account for MPE added outlet length. The solution, if you do not like the aggression, is to cut MPE outlet back .5"-1" depending on the reveal you prefer. This can be accomplished very easy and cheap at any exhaust shop or by buying a Sawzall with metal blade. This will not effect the ability to return to stock and should not effect resale value of MPE. The other solution is to run an aggressive diffuser that sticks out more to cover the reveal. We understand this may not be for everyone, but the solutions are above if you want the quad tips but want a more flush look. Keep in mind, the tips get hot and you do want the end of the tips to protrude a bit at min so exhaust gases clear diffuser.

*** Aftermarket diffusers that do not fit the OEM rhombus tips, may require washers to be added to the exhuast hanger mounts. This will allow the tips to drop down to create extra clearence.
